The deer beats at the heart of Woodland Ways, so much so that it is at the centre of our emblem. Nothing represents deer more than the majestic crown of antlers adorning the head of a mature stage in its prime. You'll learn all about this naturally renewable and sustainable resource is an incredible material, utilised by our ancestors for thousands of years, right up to the present day. Used as Tools used to excavate the flint from the ground to then to knap them, harpoons and arrow points used for hunting, buttons and toggles for clothing and carrying, whistles for signalling, the list is almost endless.

- Shaping the outside
- Sanding smooth
- Adding a filed pattern if desired
- Understanding the differences in Antler and horn
The ring you make is yours to take away! This course is for over 16's although under 18's must be accompanied by an adult. Workshops are held at our World Of Bushcraft Centre in the Peak District, Or our City centre venue in Edinburgh, free tea and coffee is available at both venues.
