The Mora 164 Crook Knife (Right-Handed) is the latest evolution of one of Morakniv’s most trusted woodcarving tools, now supplied boxed with a protective sheath and presented in smart packaging. It is purpose-built for spoon carving, bowl work, and detailed green woodworking—continuing Mora’s tradition of designing knives that balance simplicity, sharpness, and practical utility.

For over a century, Morakniv of Sweden has been a name synonymous with woodcraft and bushcraft. Based in the knife-making town of Mora, their tools have been carried by generations of carvers, craftsmen, farmers, and outdoorsmen. The hallmark of a Mora knife is a razor-sharp edge at an honest price, and the 164 Crook Knife is no exception.

This model features a single-edged stainless steel blade, designed specifically for right-handed use. The back of the blade is deliberately unsharpened, allowing the carver to apply controlled pressure with the index finger for more precise and safer cuts. With the tightest curve in the Mora crook knife range, the 164 is optimised for fine spoon and bowl carving, gliding smoothly over the concave surfaces. Improved edge bevels ensure a consistent bite into the wood, enhancing the carving experience with clean, confident cuts.

The handle is crafted from natural birchwood, shaped for comfort in long carving sessions, giving a secure grip even when working with fresh greenwood.

  • Blade type: Single-edged, stainless steel

  • Use: Right-handed

  • Handle: Birchwood

  • Sheath: Protective sheath included

  • Origin: Made in Mora, Sweden

Sharpness is the soul of woodcarving, and Mora have built their reputation on it. A keen edge turns carving from frustration into flow, allowing the work to become not only productive but deeply satisfying. The Mora 164 embodies that ethos—a knife that makes the difference between struggle and creativity.
