The Morakniv Bushcraft Orange is a robust and reliable outdoor knife designed to withstand the rigours of serious bushcraft and survival use. A step up from the mora companion in terms of features and robustness.
Its bright orange handle is more than just a striking feature—it ensures the knife is easily spotted if dropped in the undergrowth, snow, or low light, saving you from the frustration of losing such an essential tool in the field. When working with younger people in an instructing capacity it also allows the instructor to see if a client has removed and beginning to use the knife at a distance.
At the heart of this knife is a 3.2 mm thick stainless steel blade, built heavier and stronger than many traditional Scandi knives. Unlike profile-ground blades, this one retains its full thickness, giving extra weight and durability for hard use—whether you’re batoning wood, carving shelter stakes, or preparing kindling in damp weather. The blade is also ridge-ground, making it especially effective when paired with a fire steel, sending a shower of sparks to ignite your tinder.
The knife also comes with 2 different belt attachments in the box, a clip style or a full belt loop giving you the flexibility to choose your attachment type.

A Tradition of Swedish Craft
Morakniv—often simply called Mora—has been making knives in the Swedish province of Dalarna for over 130 years, and the Bushcraft Orange continues this proud lineage. The town of Mora has been renowned for its blades since the 17th century, where blacksmiths first began producing knives that became indispensable to woodworkers, farmers, and outdoorsmen across Scandinavia. By the late 19th century, Mora knives were already famed for their affordability, practicality, and razor-sharp edges—values that remain at the core of the brand today.
Generations of woodsmen, carvers, and bushcrafters have relied on Mora knives not only because of their cutting performance, but because they represent a philosophy: simple, honest tools that work as hard as you do. The Bushcraft Orange embodies that tradition while adding modern features suited for today’s outdoorsmen—strength, visibility, and fire-lighting capability.
Whether you are carving, splitting, striking sparks, or simply relying on your knife as the most essential part of your bushcraft kit, the Mora Bushcraft Orange delivers rugged reliability in a package that refuses to get lost in the wilderness.
