The handcrafted Artisan Fire Starter™ is one of Forest Fundamental's longest-selling Ferro rods. It's more traditional in style and also includes one of the Stealth Fire Strikers and a piece of natural fatwood. Fatwood is renowned as one of the best natural fire starters, it boasts remarkable water resistance and high flammability.
The Artisan includes a hardwood wood-turned handle, designed to be easily gripped, and have been sanded and sealed with multiple coats of natural wood oil, to protect against water and highlight the natural grain.
All Forest Fundamentals Ferro Rods are manufactured using their own Ferrocerium blend, tried and tested till the optimum balance between softness and durability had been achieved. These Ferro Rods throw down large showers of sparks, but are also not too soft to ensure longevity.
