Mora Companion Knife All Colours Stainless Steel

The Mora Companion knife is the same as the Mora Companion 860MG, and the All Colours series, though these are in a lovely Leaf Colour pallet. The colours available are Dala Red, Burnt Orange and what Morakniv refers to as Olive Green, though we'd say Lime green!

It has a three quarters tang (the blade goes on 3/4 of the way through the handle) which makes it a good quality strong knife. It is a cheaper option for a bushcraft knife rather than spending hundreds of pounds on your first knife. It has a Scandinavian grind, which is one of the easiest grinds to sharpen, and it is stainless steel with a high friction grip on the handle... ideal for game preparation. It is well worth buying a knife of this price to begin your bushcraft techniques.

  • Blade: Stainless steel
  • Blade length: 104 mm
  • Blade Thickness 2.5mm
  • Hardness: 57HRC
  • Sheath: Thermoplastic with belt clip and drain hole

Advantages: Good quality strong knife. A cheaper option for a first bushcraft knife and robust enough to split wood using a baton. The blade is a Scandinavian grind, and is made from stainless steel which makes it resistant to rusting. It has a high friction grip handle making it ideal for use in game preparation. Their bold colour is easy to spot on the woodland floor or in the bottom of your rucksack and ideal for working with groups both young and old as the bright colour is highly visible.

Disadvantages: We struggled with this to be honest as it is such a cracking piece of kit. OK- it may not look as nice as some of the knives with fancy wooden handles but we go for function not style... The sheath supplied clips onto a belt rather than sliding on to it so it can be prone to coming off the belt.

It is illegal to supply a knife to anyone under the age of 18. Woodland Ways actively checks the details of all orders for knives, and other edged items. Should we be unable to confirm your eligibility, you will be asked to provide proof of age in the form of a photocopy of your drivers licence or passport.
