  • Course Duration: 09.00 - 17.00
  • Group size: 8 Maximum
  • Age Range: 16+

Join one of our instructors in the classroom at the World of Bushcraft Centre for a one day workshop. Bring your own knife, and let's make a sheath for it together! We will discuss different styles of sheath, and their attributes, before getting hands on and bringing your sheath to life. We'll discuss ways to decorate and customise your sheath, as well as how to look after it once it's done.

We'll cover several techniques which include safe use of leather working tools, dying and burnishing, stitching, using Rivets and stitching by hand, and even wet forming.

You will leave the course with a sheath that you have crafted to fit your favourite knife, and the knowledge to make many more. These key skills can be used to complete a wide range of different projects using leather. All tools, equipment and materials are supplied.

This course is for over 16's although under 18's must be accompanied by an adult. Workshops are held at our World Of Bushcraft Centre in the Peak District, where free tea and coffee will be available.
