Social Spoon Club
In November of 2023 we launched our weekly spoon club, a free to attend social event held at our headquarters at the edge of the Peak District in Rowsley.
After a few weeks we launched the club at our Edinburgh City Centre location to bring this initiative to more people.
The idea behind the club is to offer a space to sit and craft in good company, with tools and materials provided, where creative ideas can be exchanged without any pressure of needing to contribute financially. It's not a taught session, we're on hand to ensure everyone is working safely, and to give tips and tricks to get the most of your projects, but it's self lead. You create at your own pace, and you're free to come and go as you please during the session times.
If you wanted to bring your own tools, that's great, but we will have our course tools on hand. We'll be happy to talk to you about the different tools, how to look after them, and what to look out for if you're buying your own. We'll provide some material to carve too, but if you've got something interesting at home, you're welcome to bring it in with you. There's car parking on site, a log burner for the colder months, outdoor shelter for the warmer months and plenty of tea and coffee.
Interested? If you'd like to join our club, you're welcome to, please drop us an email or pick up the phone to find out when the next meet is!
All we ask is a donation towards keeping the lights on and the kettle hot if you're able to. Arriving with biscuits won't be detrimental!
