Brisa Trooper is a sturdy big enough camping knife that can handle any task that crosses your path. The trusted 80CrV2 carbon steel combined with a high scandi grind will always leave a clean cut behind whether you are preparing food or carving feather sticks for the campfire. This knife is a real workhorse.
80CrV2 is a fantastic steel for use in outdoors knives. It's high toughness lends itself well to battoning, and the edge retention is better than a lot of other Carbon steels. The High Scandinavian grind means that the edge has good support for tougher tasks, while being thin enough to still make an efficient slicing cut. There's a slight secondary bevel. The spine has been ground to a sharp 90 degree corner, so striking your ferro rod with your knife will be easy and should allow a good ferro rod to produce a lot of sparks. The full tang construction lends itself well to heavy duty tasks.
Micarta is a fabric based material that has been reinforced with resin, much like Carbon Fibre composites. It's waterproof, so it's also more hygienic, it's durable and absolutely reliable. Red liners and stainless steel fixing accent the green micarta nicely, and the lanyard hole is perfectly placed to offer easier removal of the knife from the sheath.
The sheath is, as with all Brisa items, of a very high quality. Thick leather with robust stitching, a belt loop and dangler as standard give a variety of carrying choices.
