The knife carries a traditional Lynx blade of stainless chromium steel, featuring a classic blood groove. At 11 cm, the blade provides excellent control for outdoor tasks and general use. Marttiini’s stainless steel blend contains 13% chromium and achieves a hardness of 53–54 HRC, ensuring a blade that stays sharp, resists corrosion, and is straightforward to maintain. A diamond sharpener is recommended for keeping the edge at its best.
The leather sheath, made from carefully selected oxhide, completes the knife. Marttiini’s sheaths are still crafted largely by hand, with each piece cut, glued, and stitched to form a precise fit for its companion blade. The sheath features an internal plastic liner to protect the sheath and the user, while embossed detailing, and a rivet add strength and ornament. With use, the sheath develops a character of its own, ageing gracefully as it protects the knife.
