UCO candles are not just an afterthought. They have been developed so that wax consistency, wick size and dimensions are ideally suited to their lanterns. Other candles can melt down prematurely due to improper wax formula and can leave significantly more soot on the heat shield compared with UCO candles. 

We recommend using only UCO candles in your UCO lanterns.

Three versions of the candle are available, the Original Wax candles, Citronella to keep insects at bay, and both have a burn time of 9 hours. 

The third type is 100% natural Beeswax candles with cotton wicks. Beeswax has a longer burn time than paraffin, meaning each candle burns from 12-15 hours. These candles are a natural alternative to oil based candles and produce a pleasant aroma with less smoke.

The candles come in a pack of three so that you have spares for your next trip.
